Health & Hygiene: Out evangelists are being taught about general health and hygiene so that they can in turn take this message to the villagers who are ignorant of the basics of good health.
HIV/Aids Awareness: HIV/Aids is the greatest humanitarian emergency in the history of the human family. Almost every nation is fighting to overcome this serious hazard, which has the potential of wiping out mankind. It is the third world countries that are now seriously affected with this malaise. Poverty, illiteracy, superstitious beliefs coupled with loose living and lack of basic health care and hygiene.
There are one million aids patients in India and out of this 350 thousands alone account for in Andhra Pradesh.
This disease is making rapid strides especially in the rural and backward regions of the state, where the people till today don’t know anything about the disease or its prevention. And those afflicted are not willing to come out in the open for fear of being treated as an outcaste. Therefore, they keep on spreading the disease without realizing the destruction they are causing.
In this grave situation we have taken up the challenge of rendering AID to the AIDS. Harvest Ministries has setup a Health Care Center which exclusively is rendering services to 30 HIV patients giving them free medicines, counseling guidance and help and also nutritious food is provided monitoring them from time to time and giving them living hope in Christ Jesus.
