Uplifting the rural poor irrespective of caste, creed or religion is also one of the several other objectives of this organization. There is acute scarcity of drinking water in Andhra Pradesh, for the last few years. The ground water table has gone down and the open wells hitherto satisfying the thirst of the rural people have gone dry in most of the Telangana districts. Keeping this dire need in mind, Harvest Ministries has taken up the project of digging borewells in the drought-prone areas so as to help the people tide over the water crisis.
The implementation of this project in 45 drought stricken Telangana villages near Harvest Churches has opened up more doors to share the Gospel in an effective manner. We were able to drill 63 borewells in 45 villages covering five districts. Approximately 100,000 people are benefited by this project. Rural people are experiencing the love of Christ in action and are responding to the Gospel in a positive manner.
